Within the scope of the “Seminars for the Enhancement of Students’ Academic Competencies,” organized to foster the academic and professional development of nursing students, the Department of Nursing of our Faculty, in collaboration with the Yalova University Student Nurses Association (ÖHDER), hosted a seminar entitled “Digital Transformation in Nursing: Emerging Technologies, Challenges, and Future Perspectives.”
The seminar provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing digital transformation in nursing and healthcare. Key topics included the growing significance of digitalization in contemporary nursing practice, the integration of digital health technologies into patient care processes, and innovative approaches shaping the delivery of healthcare services. Furthermore, the opportunities presented by emerging technologies for improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of nursing care were critically examined alongside the ethical, educational, and organizational challenges associated with the digital transformation of the nursing profession. The seminar also emphasized the importance of developing digital competencies among future nurses to effectively adapt to rapidly evolving healthcare environments.
